We run Zanzibar day tours (Safari Blue, Stone Town, spice farms, Prison Island, Nakupenda sandbank, Mnemba dolphin and snorkeling, Jozani Forest, a dhow sunset cruise and sea turtles at Baraka Natural Aquarium), Tanzania mainland safaris from Zanzibar (Mikumi, Selous, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Serengeti) and a 6-day Mount Kilimanjaro climb on the Marangu route.
Yes. You can check the price for your route and book on our Transfers page, from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport to areas such as Stone Town, Nungwi, Kendwa, Paje, Kiwengwa and Michamvi.
Allow about 15 to 20 minutes to Stone Town, roughly an hour to Kiwengwa and Paje, and 1 hour 15 minutes or a little more to Nungwi and Kendwa. Traffic and road works can change this.
Safari Blue is a full-day boat trip on a traditional dhow in Menai Bay, on the south-west coast of Zanzibar. It combines snorkeling, a sandbank stop and a seafood lunch. It is a sea excursion, not a land safari.
Dolphins live in the waters around Zanzibar and some of our boat tours look for them, such as the Mnemba dolphin and snorkeling tour. Sightings depend on the animals' natural movements, so they cannot be guaranteed.
The drier months from June to October and from December to February are the most popular. The long rains usually fall from March to May and shorter rains often come in November.
Stone Town is a historic, mostly Muslim town, so covering shoulders and knees is respectful when you walk through the streets and markets. Comfortable walking shoes and a hat help in the heat. Bring swimwear and a cover-up for beach and boat tours.
Yes, many travellers combine a climb with time on the island. We offer a 6-day, 5-night climb on the Marangu route. Ask us about travel between Zanzibar and the Kilimanjaro region when you request a price.
Entry rules depend on your nationality and can change, so please check the official Tanzania Immigration website or your nearest Tanzanian embassy before you travel. We cannot give visa advice.
